Ahhhh! Where has the time gone? It feels like I blinked, and 6 weeks have passed since I had my shoulder surgery. I have my 6 week check up with my surgeon today. And I am hopeful that I get to lose the sling for good. Fingers crossed! My most important question for him is, can I drive my tractor? I hope he says I can.
I have been doing a lot of crafting for the past 6 weeks. And I finally made something I am so proud to have hanging outside for the world to see.

Isn’t it pretty? I made this! Actually, I made 2. I was planning on putting this at the end of our driveway, on our fences.

I have hung wreaths down here for years. But this year, I opted for a more traditional style wreath with a horse lover’s flair.

I decided to keep my new wreaths closer to my home by hanging one on either side of our garage.

Catching Up Before Christmas
I was also able to go to Dover’s in Parker a few weeks back. My husband was kind enough to drive me since I can’t drive. That has been one of the hardest things to deal with after surgery, not being able to drive. Hopefully, that will be ending today as well! But back to my trip to Dover’s…
A few months ago when Vickie and I went to watch the Dressage show at the Horse Park, I found some adorable horse treats called Horse Whiskers. I had been searching and searching for them online without being able to find them. I finally connected with the owner, and she let me know that Dover’s in Parker, Colorado, has them available. Oh my. When I found out, I was beyond excited. So I made a special trip to Dover’s. And they had them!

Not only did they have the original treats in the containers I had seen, but they also had little gift packages.

These coffee mugs are so adorable. And I know I would love to get something like this for Christmas, would you? I was chatting with the sales girl and found out that Dover’s in Dallas also stocks the Horse Whiskers Treats. They aren’t available online yet, but I am hopeful they will be. These are just so adorable! And such a wonderful idea.

Of course, I bought a container of them. And they are a lot stronger than I thought they would be. They look so delicate! But I give my boys one every once in a while, not all the time. And they love them! I had to try one, too, you know, to test it out. They are shaped sugar cubes with some coloring. Nothing else is added.

If you live in the Parker or Dallas area, you can find these treats there. I’m sure your horse or your horsey friends would love to get this as a gift for Christmas!
DIY Christmas Horse Wreath
But back to my masterpiece that I am SO proud of. I had to share the process of making this wreath, so I made a video showing you how easy it is to make.
You can watch step by step as I make the wreath. It’s really affordable too. I found similar ones on Etsy for over $200! That is just way too much money. Especially when you can make one for around $25. So put on your crafty pants, and make a wreath for your home or barn!
