Ok, first I should REALLY apologize for not posting in like, forever. I mean it. I have taken way to long of a break from writing. And way to long from sharing anything with you. Well that all changes right now. I have a lot to say when it comes to horses and including horses in your life. So it’s about time I got back to it.

And what better way to start back than to share something with you that I have wanted to try for a very long time.

Eqclusive Brush Pack for Black and Bay Horses

Just a heads up, I am an Amazon affiliate, and I have included some links to products that you can find on Amazon.

Eqclusive Brush Pack for Black and Bay Horses Review

I have seen this specialty horse brush pack over the past few years, and I have always wanted to try it. You know, to see if it really is as good as I thought it would be. And I finally took the plunge, and bought it.
And if you are anything like me, you love to spend time grooming your horse. I would say this is one of my favorite things to do. Yes, even more than riding.

For myself, I look forward to spending time with my horses, and taking care of them. I spend far more time on the ground with them vs. being in the saddle. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
So when I finally decided to try out the Eqclusive brushes, it wasn’t that big of a surprise.
The reason I wanted to try them is I was shown a video online, and it made me curious. All of the brushes in the Eqclusive packs are made by Haas, and I love Haas brushes. Once I found them, there is no other brush I use.

Full Disclosure: I bought the brush pack. I was not offered any incentive to try out the brushes, and the opinions stated below are my own. I received no compensation from Eqclusive, and they had no idea I was buying their brushes to do a review! I have left links to the Eqclusive website, as well as affiliate links to products I have previously bought. I am an Amazon Affiliate, and if you choose to make a purchase I will receive a commission.

And it was almost my birthday, so I decided to treat myself and buy the brush set. I was really curious about them. I already had 2 of the brushes in the bay pack, but mine were a bit different.

My brushes had a raised edge while these were flat.

It also included the Diva Exclusiv Brush, which was my first Haas Brush. But the brush I had, well, the lambswool had started to come unattached to the backing of the brush. So I was curious if this one would be better constructed.

When I went to the Eqclusive website and checked out the brush packs, I was able to choose from the standard or deluxe option. The deluxe option included the box, along with a Haas mane and tail brush. I liked the idea of having a separate box for the brushes. As well as a mane and tail brush, so I opted for the deluxe package.
I also decided that I would take the brushes that I already had, and build a kit with them. This way I can have a set of brushes for Jesse, as well as having a set of dedicated brushes for Al-Capony. So I also opted to buy an extra mane and tail brush so each horse has a set of brushes that I only use on each horse.

So then I waited.

I placed my order on October 29, 2025, and the brushes arrived November 14, 2025. Yes, it took a while to get them, but Eqclusive is located in Poland.

I was SO excited when the brushes came!
They were gorgeous in the box.

Cleaning The Old Brushes First

I also decided to make it ‘official’ and I wanted to get another box for Al-Caponies brush set. I checked on Amazon and found something similar for about$8.00. And once that box came, I gathered up my dirty brushes, used a brush fizzy to clean them, and then got to work trying to duplicate the Eqclusive set with my own brushes.

And while they are similar, the brushes from Eqclusive are definitely different.

I took a lot of pictures to show the difference between the brushes. The smaller box is the set from Eqclusive. While the larger box is the one I got from Amazon. I like the idea of keeping each set of brushes separate for my equine friends.

I also took a large index card and wrote down the order to use the brushes in order to be able to get the shiny results I’m hoping for.

There is something so wonderful about new brushes. So much so, that is what motivated me to clean my own brushes!

I didn’t realize how dirty they were until I compared them to the beautiful new brushes. But the brush fizzy works so well at cleaning my brushes fast. And the Haas brushes have a solid construction so there is no worry that it will hurt the brushes.

brush blaster brush cleaner

This is called the Brush Blaster and it’s made by the Virtue Soap Company. I was able to clean all of my brushes in less than 15 minutes in my kitchen sink.

I think the results speak for themself. This is a fantastic product that I will continue to use because it makes having clean brushes so easy!
This is how I used the Brush Blaster:
I filled my sink with warm water, Opened up the Brush Blaster Cube in the water – it smells wonderful by the way.

I waited until the fizzing stopped, and gave the brushes a few more minutes to soak, rinsed them off and set them on the counter to dry overnight.

And these Brush Blasters are easy to store, and affordable. I can’t say enough good things about them.

Trying Out The New Brushes

I wanted to test the brush set, and I was not expecting miraculous results, but I figured I would do a real world test, and follow the instructions of using the brushes and lets the results show for themself.
So here is Jesse before his beauty session.

quarter horse

I had my brush box with handy instruction card in place and got to work.

But before I started using the brushes, I did use some Stubben Brush On on his mane and tail, really letting it soak in. I will do the mane and tail last, so that will give the Brush On time to dry. This is the best detangle I have found for getting through tangles and keeping the hair intact on my horses.

I also applied a little MTG Light Oil to his body to help prevent any static build up. It’s the end of November, and very dry here in Colorado. So my horses tend to build up static with their longer coats.

Ok, finally time to use the brushes.

Haas New Generation Curry Comb

Haas Curry

But first, currying. I start by currying the entire coat first. Working in small circles all over Jesse’s body, tapping away the dust and dirt that accumulates while I am currying. And when I am done currying his coat, I will keep using the curry comb to clean out the brushes as I am grooming.

Haas Parcour Brush

Haas Pacour brush

This is the first brush to use. And because I am not talented at describing the purpose of this brush, I did get the description from the Eqclusive description, for all of these brushes. But the Parcour brush is the first brush in the pack. And it is specifically designed to combat the common issue of dust accumulation and the resulting “matt” effect on black horses’ coats. With its specialized bristles, this brush efficiently removes dust particles, restoring the natural sheen and luster to your horse’s coat.

Haas Lippizaner Brush

The second brush is a true multitasker, adept at tackling the challenges of sweat, sweat combined with oil, and embedded dirt. By penetrating deep into the coat, this brush effectively clears the skin underneath, ensuring a thorough and invigorating cleanse.

Haas Cavaliere Brush

The third brush focuses on removing any residual dirt that may have been brought up to the topcoat. Its strategic bristle arrangement and ergonomic design contribute to an optimal grooming experience for both you and your horse.

Haas Coat Gloss

The fourth brush takes the cleansing process a step further by addressing any remaining residue in the topcoat. Not only does it remove lingering impurities, but it also imparts a brilliant gloss finish to your horse’s coat, enhancing their overall appearance.

Haas Diva Exlusiv

The fifth brush adds the finishing touch to your grooming routine, leaving your horse’s coat with a polished, show-ready look. This brush’s meticulous attention to detail ensures that every strand of hair is perfectly aligned, resulting in a stunning presentation.

Haas Mane and Tail Brush

I have never been a fan of truly ‘brushing my horses manes and tails, but after I watched the videos on the Eqclusive’s website, I figured, why not give it a try. And by this point, the Brush On had time to dry, and I could work through Jesse’s mane and tail.

Let’s look at the end result. The before is not too bad. But I think the results speak for themself. Here is Jesse after his grooming with the Eqclusive grooming set:

I also went through the same steps with Al-Capony, using my newly cleaned Haas brushes that I already had. I was getting pretty tired by this point, that was a LOT of grooming. But here is Al-Capony after his grooming session:

I have always been a fan of Haas Brushes. But now, having a system to go along with the best horse brushes ever, well that is just the best.

I am a believer in the Eqclusive patented brushes, as well as the Haas brushes. They do have brush packs for chestnut, and grey horses as well as a universal shining brush pack for all coat colors. For myself, the brush pack is worth the investment, and it made a great birthday gift to myself. Happy Birthday to me! I think my horses enjoyed my birthday gift too.

And spending a little more time with my horses is always a good thing. It is truly an uplifting feeling to see my horses looking their best, even if they have a furry coat.

So if I have raised your interest, check out Eqclusive for yourself. They also have a YouTube channel with lots of helpful videos and tutorials explaining the brush packs as well as showing you how to use them.

Happy Grooming!

Girl, I have really been concerned about what is/was going on with you! Been checking everywhere for updates from you so very glad to find this is my email. Looking forward to reading future emails/updates from you. Just wondering what the shipping cost from Poland was…don’ t know how to change it into US amount…180 something…and live chat was no help. Or did you order these from Amazon? I wasn’t aware that coat color affected coat composition. I have a chestnut mare who fusses when I groom her(???) so these might suit her. Anyway, good to hear from you again. Woild love to have the opportunity to chat with you occasionally via personal email when I have a question or just checking in rather than this method. Feel free to use my email if this is acceptable. Horse related emails only, of course. Also, I have a private, by invitation only horse page called Horse Folks that can be accessed only by members if you would like to join. We’re down here in Mississippi, but have a few members in other states and in Germany ranging from professional horse men/women to backyard, retired like me(nurse). Anyway, good to hear from you and enjoyed reading the post!
