Saddle Box Unboxing Day 18 Being A Better Rider Challenge

Well here we are, day 18 of our being a better rider challenge. And I will not be riding today. I have been riding all week, and honestly, I am pooped! And my husband and I went out to dinner when I got off from work, so no riding today. But I had to have something to write about, so I decided to share with you an unboxing of The Saddle Box subscription box that came in the mail today.

What is A Saddle Box?

If you aren’t familiar with Saddle Box, it is a monthly subscription box you can buy directly from their website, Saddle Box. You can set up an automatic payment, so they bill you once a month. You can cancel at any time, so you aren’t obligated to a set amount of time. I like that. You can try it out and see if it is something you would want to continue, and then you can cancel it at any time.

They have a YouTube channel, and they share with you what will becoming in the next box. For me this is a bonus, because I like to see what I am spending my money on, before I actually commit to the purchase. They also share their horse treat recipes with you on their website. So if your horse likes the treats, you can make them again and again.

August Saddle Box Goodies

So my saddle box came in the mail today, and I thought I would share with you what was inside, and give my thoughts on the items.

Epona Jewel Tone Curry

This is a really nice, heavy duty curry comb. It is adjustable, so no matter the size of your hand, it will fit. This curry comb is really nice! I am always looking for new brushes, so it’s nice to have a back up, especially when it it as pretty as this one.

Canter Cone Horse Treat

My horses favorite part of the box is the treats. And this month the treat was huge! They made a horse treat with a sugar cone. It is made with all natural ingredients, and it was easy to cut in half so each of my horse’s will have a treat tonight before I put them in. And I can duplicate the treats because saddle box has the recipes on their website. This is one of the reasons I love this subscription box! And there was also a bubble gum candy stick, an extra treat for the horses!

Hot Apple Pie Candle

This candle smells incredible, and it’s pretty! I really like the smell of apples and cinnamon, so it works for me. If you don’t like that, you may not like this candle. But it is really pretty too!

No Chew Bandage

Saddle Box Unboxing

I feel you can never have enough first aid supplies. SO I was very happy to get this. It is like vet-wrap, but it says it is no chew. We will see. I am sure Ethan will give me the opportunity to use it. Time will tell. But for now, it will be ready for use tucked away in one of my multiple first aid kits. There is no such thing as too much when it comes to first aid supplies, and horses in my opinion.

Strawberries And Cream Bath Bomb

Saddle Box Unboxing

I am not a huge fan of baths. Let me rephrase that. I am more of a shower person, so I won’t be using this. However, my daughter LOVES baths, so I will be giving this to her. I guess I just got an early start on my Christmas shopping this year. But the bath bomb smells great. And have you ever bought one of these things? They are expensive! So this will make a great stocking stuffer for my daughter. And it’s already decorated, so double bonus!

Soft Cotton Lead Rope

Saddle Box Unboxing

You can never have enough lead ropes. And this is a really nice 6 foot long super soft rope. Even though I may not need it right at this moment, I am sure I will have use for it.

Epona Hair Ties

These are nice, especially since I am growing my hair out. One thing with hair ties, they always seem to get lost. SO it’s nice to have a few more. And these are no pull, so hopefully I don’t pull my hair out when I am taking it out. And they are really pretty, so this was a very nice addition to the box this month.

Saddle Box Yay or Neigh?

As it has been every month I have gotten this box, I am really happy with my purchase. And I am not an affiliate for them, or anything like that. I am giving you my honest opinion of this subscription box, and sharing it with you because I really like it. If you have ever considered trying one of these subscription services, I think the saddle box would be a great first one to try. I like it. My horses like it. And it’s only $35.00 a month. SO I will continue my subscription, and if you decide to try it, I think you will be hooked too!
