Holy cow I have not been active on my blog for quite some time now. Sorry about that. I kept thinking about things I wanted to write about, and share, but something else kept coming up and I continued to put off adding new blog posts.

And then I ended up having foot surgery. And instead of using my down time to get back on the horse (with writing) I continued to not write. But thankfully my foot is almost 100% again, which means I can get back to the things that I love, which includes writing, and riding! Look at me being a good patient! Lying in bed, my foot elevated, and resting!
And something so awesome that happens this time of year is Riding Warehouse has their annual Memorial Day Sale – where we get to save a lot of money on the things we need for our horses. Just in time for summer! For me, this is perfect timing. You see I just started riding again after surgery. And over the long winter, I packed up all of my horse related things. But with the better weather, I am slowly bringing everything back out to the barn. So I can see what I am missing, and what is needing replaced.

So I just happened to visit Riding Warehouse’s site, and I was like “oh yeah – it’s the Memorial Day sale!”
And I started browsing for the things that I needed, and that ended up browsing for things I wanted. I was so impressed with the deals I found!

Riding Warehouse Memorial Day Deals

Yes- up to 40% off! How great is that? Especially with how the cost of EVERYTHING is going up, it’s nice to still feel like you can find a good deal on horse supplies.
And I have to say, I found some fantastic deals. I also was able to stock up on some of my go to items that I use, and use up all the time. So I thought I would share some of the things I bought with you. But, I just placed my order yesterday, so my treasures aren’t here yet. But I can definitely share them with you. Because if I waited until my package arrived – the sale would be over. And I want you to be able to get the deals too!
Effol Hoof Ointment

First lets go over my favorite ever hoof ointment. The Effol green hoof ointment is incredible – and a tub this size lasts for a very long time. I simply apply it with a hoof brush to my horses hooves and it helps to keep the moisture in. It combines Vaseline, laurel oil, and thymol (thyme extract) in an all-purpose, easy to use, disinfecting hoof ointment. This ointment forms a water repellent and dirt repellent film which helps support proper moisture balance in both wet and dry conditions. And it really works! Right now, during the sale, it is $10.36! That is a fantastic deal!
Effol Hoof Oil with Brush Applicator

Again, another fantastic Effol product. And I bought this the first time on a whim, you know just to try it out to see how it would work. And Once I used it, I have continued to use it. The Effol Hoof Oil works very well to penetrate into the hoof wall to treat and prevent splitting and cracking. It also makes the hooves really shine while keeping them soft and flexible. And the brush top makes daily application a breeze! Right now it costs $18.36 at Riding Warehouse during their sale.
E3 Elite Equine Evolution Argan Oil Shampoo

I found this shampoo for the first time last year. Or I should say, I read a review about it, and wanted to try it. But I was impatient, so I went to a local equestrian store, and I bought it. I overpaid, bought I bought it. And from the first use – I was sold. This shampoo is wonderful! It lathers beautifully, and it smells SO good! It also leaves the coat so soft and shiny! You could use this shampoo the day before a show and not worry about stripping all of the natural shine off of your horse. And of course, right now it is on sale at Riding Warehouse! You can get a 32 ounce bottle of E3 Argan Oil Shampoo for $11.16! That is less than half of what I paid for it the first time I bought it. The shampoo lasts a long time too! A little bit goes a long way.
And if you have a fancy-shmancy shampoo sprayer like this one:

You can get your horse washed in record time. I actually found this sprayer on Amazon after being served an ad on Instagram for a sprayer just like this one that cost over $60.00. But, a little savvy searching on my part, and I was able to buy it for $17.99. And it came with everything in this picture. I did have to buy a quick connect adapter (again on Amazon) in order to hook it up to my hose, but it was definitely worth it! And it makes applying my E3 shampoo easier, less messy, and helps me to be more efficient at bath time.
E3 Argan Oil Horse Conditioner

And to go along with my E3 Shampoo, I also bought the conditioner. Again, the first time I bought it – I spent way too much money. Because I wanted it, like now. But just like the shampoo, the conditioner is incredible. It works so well in fact – I have used it on my own hair! How’s that for an endorsement? The conditioner works so well on manes and tails. And just like the shampoo, it smells delicious! And right now during the Memorial Day sale at Riding Warehouse, you can buy a 32 ounce bottle of E3 Argan Oil Horse Conditioner for $10.36! That is a GREAT buy!!!!
Riding Warehouse Memorial Day Sale
Ok, so those are the item s that I NEEDED to buy in order to replace what I had used up. Now for the things I saw, and I WANTED to buy. Ok, not only wanted, but ended up buying. But they were such good deals, I couldn’t help it. And I haven’t had any splurge purchases for my horse hobby for a long time, I justify my purchases.
I don’t know if you have every had a Lemieux saddle pad, or anything by Lemieux, but they are my favorite. They are the best saddle pads for me. Because with regular saddle pads, I put them on, and then have to move them around on Plezant’s back, and they bunch up, and just don’t sit right. However, with the Lemieux pads, they look like they are supposed too. And they keep Plezant comfortable too.

So when I saw Riding Warehouse has Lemieux products included in their deals, I started looking. I wanted a ‘matchy-matchy’ set for my boy. I have tried many colors on him, and some I love, some are just, meh. But one of the new summer colors brought out by Lemieux I thought would look very nice on Plezant. It is ……drumroll please…….

Bluebell!
Oh my goodness, this color is SO pretty! And I think it will look great on Plezant.
LeMieux Summer Loire Close Contact Memory Saddle Pad
So I started, of course, with the Loire saddle pad. And yes, this saddle pad is expensive. But when it’s on sale, it’s definitely something I would buy. For myself, and my horse’s comfort, it is worth the cost. And during the Memorial day sale, you can get the Lemieux Loire Close Contact Memory Foam Collar Saddle Pad for $88.00. Which is a good deal – with a normal price of $110.00 , you save!
And I have always found that Riding Warehouse has the best price on the LeMieux products, as well as having the biggest selection. And during this sale – I even found my unicorn color that I have been searching for over the past 3 years!

This is the LeMieux Loire Satin Memory Foam Close Contact Saddle Pad in Mulberry. This color has been eluding me for the past 3 years! But Riding Warehouse can get it (it’s backordered until June 18th) so I finally decided to buy it. It was time. I have wanted this color for so long! And I know this will look great on Plezant. I can wait. I mean, I have waited for 3 years right? And with a price of $89.52 during the sale, this is the most affordable price I have found this saddle pad.
LeMieux Matchy Matchy
And since I went with the latest summer color in bluebell for my new saddle pad, I went all in. I also bought the ear bonnet:

The protection boots for both front and back legs:

And even a slim fit polo shirt for myself!

Oh yeah. Matchy-Matchy-Matchy! I cannot wait to get my new treasures, and tack Plezant up while we are the matchiest we have ever been! How much fun will this be? If there is anyone out on the trail riding where we are – I may get some puzzled looks. But this will definitely make for some great photos!
Riding Warehouse Memorial Day Sale
I am so happy that I happened to be looking online, and checked out Riding Warehouse. I usually remember AFTER the sale is over! And I wanted to make sure and remind YOU of their sale before it is over! It’s going on right now until the end of Memorial Day. So if there is anything you were looking for, now would be a great time to click this link to Riding Warehouse, and find some deals for yourself!
And I think I am going to have to do an unboxing video when all of my treasures arrive. I haven’t done that kind of video in a very long time. I think it will be fun! What do you think?
