August Saddle Box Unboxing

I have been trying to get this post up all weekend. But with so many other projects going on, it has been a challenge! But I had to share this Saddle Box with you guys, because it was really awesome! So it is time for the August Saddle Box unboxing!

What Is Saddle Box

If you are new to my blog, you may not know what the Saddle Box is. And it is a monthly subscription box that you can buy for $34.95 per month. They don’t make you sign up for a set amount of time either. You can try it out, and see if you like it before you commit to doing it again.

I think I have been getting the Saddle Box for almost two years now. And I have been really happy with most of the boxes. Last month’s box didn’t have the value, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t like it, because I did!

Each month the box has between 6 and 8 items that are meant for your horse, and you! And this month’s box was really good. I was very happy with everything that came in the box. So how about I show you what came inside?

Saddle Box Ambassadors

First, you get a card in the box and every month they choose several horses to be ambassadors. They are just so cute! And I know their owners are probably just as cute. The card tells you a little bit more about several of the items that are included in the box.

Feed Bucket Mixers

This was the first thing I pulled out of the box, and it is super awesome. I have never seen something like this before, and it’s made by Saddle Box! It can be fed to your horse as a handheld snack, or you can add it to his feed. I chose to add it to my horses grain, and they loved it! It smells so good. It has cute little peppermint pieces in it too.

I was able to get about 6 feedings from the bag, which I thought was really neat. They also included 3 watermelon candy sticks. But I think I will keep those for myself. I really love watermelon candy. I think the horses thought this was amazing. I hope that Saddle Box makes these so we can purchase them. It’s a really neat way to give your horse a treat without them getting mouthy.

Epona Shed Flower

I was so happy to see this in my box this month. This has become one of my favorite grooming tools. I got one last year in a previous Saddle Box. This thing works fantastic to get the loose hair out of your horse’s coat. And it fits perfectly in your hand to allow you to use it is a circular manner for grooming.

I used it today on Frisby before I rode him, and it worked so well. It worked the dirt to the surface and I was able to easily whisk it away. I don’t use it on sensitive areas, like legs or his face, but it works great on large areas. I think the horses like it, they stand still while I am using it on them.

Epona Boot Socks

I was so happy to see these in my Saddle Box! They are boot socks, yes, and I know we all have tons of boot socks. Especially if you subscribe to the many equestrian subscription boxes, like I do. But I liked these because they are so lightweight. I wore them today for my ride on Frisby. And even though it wasn’t hot out, my legs still get sweaty in my boots. But these socks felt so nice on. And the pattern on them is just so pretty! They are pretty thin, so I’m not sure how long they will last, but I really do like them!

Tough One Economy Halter

I don’t typically use traditional style halters, but I like this one. It is an economy version, but it doesn’t seem cheap. The nylon is nice and pliable. And it has a throat latch snap too. I haven’t seen that on too many economy halters. It fits Ethan, but not Frisby. But Frisby has a big head, so I didn’t expect it would.

It’s always nice to have a spare halter, and I think this one will work just fine. I like the silver hardware on it too. And the color, I really like the color. I have been thinking about changing my colors to burgundy and navy blue, and this fits right in with my plan!

America’s Wild Horses Book

This is a very nice book. It is an account of the mustangs that live throughout our country. It looks like it will be fun to read, and there are a lot of photos scattered through the book. Hopefully I will have some down time soon, so I can read it! I guess winter is coming, so I will have a lot less horse time. Which means I will have more time to get caught up on my reading.

I really enjoy that Saddle Box includes books in their boxes from time to time. My equestrian library is growing, thanks to Saddle Box! And it’s fun to read, don’t you think?

August Saddle Box, Yeah or Neigh?

I am really pleased with everything that came in this month’s Saddle Box. I am so pleased in fact, I am not going to look up each individual item to see if it is a good value. I like everything I got, and I have already used several of the items already, with good results.

So I am very happy with the August Saddle Box! And if you would like to try it for yourself, you can visit the Saddle Box website, and get a box for yourself or even as a gift for your favorite horse person. Yes, they have a gift box option too. SO if you are looking for a fun and original gift to give your favorite horse person, this subscription box would be a great idea!

So go check out Saddle Box, and get a box for yourself. I think you will be happy that you did. It’s always fun ti get a package in the mail, don’t you think?
