30 Day Blogging Challenge Day 24-Horse Person I Admire
I had a little bit of a set back in posting for the past week, sorry about that. But I’m back! This is day number 24 in my 30-day blogging challenge! This is 24 days down, 6 more to go! I wanted to offer a little more to you about myself, and thanks to the incredible blog She Moved To Texas, I found her 30-day blogging challenge and decided to emulate what she had done. And today is a new day, so a new topic. Today’s post is dedicated to a horse person that I admire and why. There are so many great equestrians that aren’t in the spotlight. But one that is, and inspires me is Beezie Madden.
Of all the people I have seen ride, and watched ride the person who has made the biggest impact on me is Beezie Madden. If you are not familiar with the show jumping world you may not have heard of Beezie Madden. But she is an incredible horse woman. It’s time for a little bit of hero worship now!

What stands out the most to me about Beezie is how much she loves what she does. You can tell when you watch her ride, and how she interacts with her equine partner. She is always kind. After a round she always gives her horse a celebratory rub. She is always smiling, and she is dedicated to her sport, as well as her horses. She has been a part of the United States Olympic Team, and she has won more show jumping competitions than I can even list, or remember. And she has created an incredible amount of equine athletes.
Beezie has been a familiar name in the show jumping world for a very long time. She is a very gifted and talented rider that just keeps on performing. Yes, it is her job, but wow, to watch her ride is inspiring. I have never met her in person or seen her ride unless I am watching a televised program, or on the internet. But this woman is incredible.

I am most impressed with her quiet attitude toward her horses, even in tough situations. This is probably one of the reasons she is so impressive. She doesn’t get angry, you never see her whipping her horse or being rough. She is always smiling, and just always so positive. I look at Beezie Madden, and want to be like her with my horses.

Her husband is also an extremely talented and gifted rider. And together, they make a great team. John Madden even has a website that includes information about their farm, their show schedule, their horses, and their sponsors. It isn’t long and drawn out, but a fun place to visit. They have a BEAUTIFUL farm by the way.

The horse world needs more people like Beezie Madden in my opinion. And like I said before, I don’t know her personally, but I am happy to be able to watch her, and I strive to be a better rider, and I think to myself, I want to be like Beezie. This is why Beezie Madden is a horse person I admire.
