30 Day Blogging Challenge Day 18-My Favorite Horse Movie
Well here we are at day number 18 in my 30-day blogging challenge! This is 18 days down, 12 more to go! We are over the halfway point on this challenge! Oh my goodness! By the time I am done with this challenge, you will all know so much more about me and my horses as well as my strengths, and my weaknesses. I wanted to offer a little more to you about myself, and thanks to me reading the incredible blog She Moved To Texas, I found her 30-day blogging challenge and decided to emulate what she had done. And I thought today I would share with you my most ultimate favorite horse movie.
Since it is still winter time where I live, when I have a little downtime I like to watch movies. If the story somehow revolves around a horse, so much the better. If I had to choose one horse movie that is my favorite it would be Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken. This movie came out in the early 90’s and is based on a true story, maybe that’s why I like it so much. And because there are horses in it.

Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken
The movie starts off with a runaway orphan during the great depression. She has a love of horses, and a very determined will. Maybe that’s why I like this movie so much! Sonora (the main character) played by Gabrielle Anwar, has determination in spades. There are instances throughout the movie where she has difficult situations, and her determination gets her through it.

She runs away from her aunts farm before she can be sent to an orphanage, watches a diving horse show and decides she wants to give it a try. She ends up getting a job working with the owner of the diving horse show, and eventually ends up as a diving girl. And she ends up falling in love along the way. I won’t give the ending away, in case you haven’t seen it, but if you haven’t watched it, you really should.

I think one of the reasons I love this movie so much is because it shows that if you set your mind to doing something, and believe in yourself you can accomplish anything you set out to do. And it doesn’t matter if others choose not to believe in you. If you believe in yourself, you will achieve your goals.
It’s like when you are working with your horse, and setting goals. You must have an end goal in mind. And you will face many obstacles on your way to achieving that goal. But if you set smaller goals, on the way to your bigger goal, and work at it you will achieve it.

No one ever just jumped on a horse and was a fantastic Olympic quality rider. To get there takes dedication and practice, the more you practice, the better you will become. And if you are aspiring to be an Olympic rider one day, you can do it, if you believe in yourself.

But occasionally we need to take a break from our goal setting and have a few moments of downtime. And maybe when you have a few moments of quiet time, why not watch Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken? You can rent it on Amazon, or I bet you can find it on eBay. In my opinion, it is one of the best horse movies ever!
