The Best Equestrian Items on Amazon

With Amazon having Amazon Prime Deals going on right now, I wanted to share with you the best equestrian items on Amazon that I have found. And lately, there has been a lot of them. I am working on improving my tiny little barn. So I have been searching for things to make that process a little easier.

You would be surprised at the things you can find on Amazon that are related to horses. Or, if you have read my blog for a while now, you won’t be surprised. Because I am always sharing the cool things I find!

I have already shared the general deals in a blog post from this morning. But I also wanted to share some things I have personally bought, and absolutely LOVE!

I have been wanting to add a fan to my barn for my horses for YEARS. Every summer I wish for a fan. But I know how dangerous fans can be in barns. I am a safety nut. So anything I install in my barn must be barn safe. But barn-safe fans are expensive! I guess it’s the sealed motor that makes them cost so much. And I can see why people are tempted to just buy the inexpensive box fans.

But then I found this Bilt Hard Fan on Amazon and it was less than half the cost of the original barn fan I found. It was also easy to install.

Sun Joe 16-Inch 13.5 AMP Electric Garden Tiller

My arena has been lousy this summer. Mainly due to all of the rain we have been getting. Over 6″ of rain in the month of June alone. And every time it would rain, all of my hard work of grooming my arena literally washed away. This has been so frustrating to me. All of my sand is gone, leaving a super compacted surface that my arena drag just can’t break through. So I am basically carving ruts into my arena. That is until I got this Sun Joe Tiller.

Now I have to tell you yes, this is work for sure. But it is a lot easier than me using a pitchfork to dig up the dirt. I have tried that, and it is so painful. It takes FOREVER!!!! But I got this tiller and started using it, and in about an hour, I was able to break up the layers of hard clay in about 1/4 of my arena. And the difference was immediately noticeable.

By the time I get the entire arena done, I will have massive bicep muscles, I’m sure. But to me, the time invested is worth it. The Sun Joe Tiller is electric, so you need to have an electricity source. I just use really long extension cords, which, yes, I got on Amazon too. And the tiller will make fast work of the garden beds too. And this machine has multiple applications for me. If you are wanting to work your arena ground, this might be a good option for you. I know it was for me.

RIUVAO 120FT Construction String Lights 180W String Work Light 

A long, long time ago, I added overhead lighting to my barn. This has been a godsend more times than I can count. And I love having the lights in my barn. But I didn’t like how it looked. So I have been searching for something that looks a little bit better, and I found this set of lights on Amazon.

They were super easy to put up because they came with carabiners making the lights easy to hang in my barn. The light strand has 12 lights that are sealed. This makes them waterproof too. And safer for indoor or outdoor use.

If you are wanting to add some lights to your barn but can’t afford to have an electrician come out and add the lights, this might be a great option for you too. I have been really happy with the amount of light they give, and it looks nice too!

UltraCruz Equine Skin and Coat Pellet Supplement

For the longest time, I used HorseShine for my horses. It really seemed to give their coats a nice shine. But over the years, the cost has gotten really high. So I started to try other supplements to see if I could find a more affordable option. I found UltraCruz, and they had a cost-effective Skin and Coat Supplement that people seemed to be loving. So I decided to give it a try. And holy cow, this stuff works! What I really like about it is how little you have to feed. A 25 lb bag will last me about 3 months for my full-size horse and pony. And the level of shine is incredible. Plus, their coats feel great, and their skin is in wonderful condition too.

I haven’t used any shine sprays on my boys since I brought them home. And look at the shine on Pumbaa. He is adorable, and his coat is beautiful.

And Timon has a deep shine too. And this is only feeding the Ultra Cruz Coat Supplement for about a month. I think the photos speak for themself as to the efficacy of this product. It works!

Manna Pro Likit Boredom Breaker

I wanted to get this for Pumbaa mainly. Timon seems to be just fine in his stall. Don’t get me wrong, he loves to be turned out. But when he is in his stall he seems content. Pumbaa on the other hand, well he paces and speedy walks laps in his pen. He has gotten a lot less anxious as he has settled in. But I wanted to give him something to keep him happy in his stall as well. So I thought I would give this a try. And he seems to like it!

The Likit Boredom Breaker is a combination toy, that includes a Likit holder attached to a robust ball with inserts for two Little Likits. Experts agree that the Boredom Breaker helps increase grazing-type behavior and reduces stall walking. Made from virtually unbreakable ABS plastic. Use with Likit Refill (sold separately). For horses that are food motivated or quick thinking, this is a fun toy to add to their stall.

While I wish the starter set came with the Likits to get you started, it doesn’t. So you have to buy a regular size likit, and 2 little likits to get it ready to go. But after that, it’s really easy. You just add in the likits, hang it up with the provided rope and you are good to go!

Timon doesn’t even seem to care about it. But then again, he is really laid back.

Pumbaa on the other hand, well he is a busy boy. And he went right too the Likit toy right away after I put it in his stall. And he plays with it a bit, but doesn’t go crazy. So hopefully, it will last a long, long time.

Outdoor Broom for Floor Cleaning Heavy-Duty Commercial Broom

I love this broom. I had one of the cheapy brooms that I used in the barn, and well, then it broke. And I have been meaning to get a replacement for so long now. And I found this one on Amazon, and I could not be happier!

It works great for cleaning up in the stalls as well as sweeping up all the loose hay. I know you wouldn’t think a broom would be such a big deal. But when you have a crappy one and then get a good one, it is a night and day difference! This is a great broom for barns and outdoor chores. And I am so glad that I found it! It was really affordable too!

Well, there you have it! Those are my favorite things that I have bought on Amazon for my horses recently. And I figured I would share them with you now, in the midst of Amazon Prime Day Deals. I’m not sure if these items are on sale for the deal days. But even if they aren’t, they are all still really good deals. And that is what I am all about, after all. As a Budget Equestrian, I am always, ALWAYS looking for the best tools and deals that make having horses even better.
