Snaks 5th Avenchew Horse Treats
I love buying horse treats for my horses. I also love making them for them because I know what is in them. But I was at Dover Saddlery the other day, and one of the YouTube people I watch all the time is always showing Snaks 5th Avenchew treats, and Dover had some so I thought I would try them out.
First off, they are not cheap. The bag I bought which has 6 treats in it cost $11.95. That is basically $2.00 a treat! I don’t know about you, but that is a lot of money for a few horse treats. But my horses have been very good over the last several weeks after I have continued to make them ‘work’ on a daily basis. So I thought I would reward them with a fancy horse treat.
Not Your Regular Horse Treat
They have a wide selection of treats to choose from, and the ones I bought are called pony pop tarts. They are bigger than the usual horse treat, so I only plan to give them occasionally. These won’t be a handful of treats type treat.
My horse’s are not picky when it comes to treats. So I don’t think the y are the best example to give an unbiased review. If you have something in your hand, they assume it’s a treat so they eat it readily.
All Natural Yummy Goodness For Horses
They have a long shelf life, the bag of treats I got say they are good until February of 2018. That is a long time, and I know the treats will be gone long before they will expire. The ingredients are all items you probably already have in your pantry, things like wheat flour, molasses, sugar and sprinkles. The owner of the Snaks 5th Avenchew started her horse treat business after she started making her own treats for her own fur babies because they had allergies.
Their website is addicting, with pages and pages of different treats you can buy, And they even have a monthly subscription box you can buy for your horses and dogs!
And of course once I gave the treats to my boys they loved them and were asking for more.
They are really cute the horse treats I mean. But of course, my boys are really cute too!
