Skincare is an individual journey. We are all different ages. And our skin has very specific needs, depending on many different variables. It can be challenging to figure out what you need for your own skin care routine.

When I was younger, my main goal was to keep my skin clean. I was prone to breakouts and blackheads. My skin was a lot oiler than it is now. But now that I’m older, I find my skin a lot drier and it soaks up the moisturizers I apply. I try to find products that offer extra collagen production to help battle the little lines that seem to be getting more prominent each year. And there are a few “luxury” products that I always like to have on hand.

How To Pamper Your Skin
When it comes to skincare there are sooo many brands and products to choose from. And there are so many products that I love. I’ve never been a person who sticks to a consistent, tried and true routine, all the time. I am always testing and trying and I usually have a few of the same type of product in rotation at one time. I’m always asked what exact products I use and I wanted to share some of the products that I have found that are incredible. And as a bonus, these products are a lot more affordable than you would think!
Retinol Cream To Battle Wrinkles
I did a little research and learned that I needed to look for products with retinoids, vitamin c and hyaluronic acid to help with my wrinkles. After some more research, I found a product line called LilyAna Naturals. They have a retinol cream and a Vitamin C serum that are very highly rated on Amazon. They’ve also gotten a bunch of other great reviews from other places too. And their prices are much lower than other products with the same ingredients.

And I found their Retinol Face Cream and gave it a try. And I am very happy with the results. I was Pleasantly surprised the cream did not irritate my sensitive skin like most retinol products have. The cream doesn’t really have a smell and it absorbs very well. It has a lightweight texture and zero residue. It can be used in the morning and evening and is gentle enough to be used around the eyes.

Eye Creams For The Win
I’m always asked about which eye creams I use and honestly, they have changed from time to time. However, after finding and having such great results with the LilyAna Naturals Retinol Cream, I decided to try LilyAna Naturals Anti-Aging Eye Cream.
My Favorite Pampering Skin Care Products
This light yet nourishing cream pampers and protects delicate skin with a blend of restorative botanicals and antioxidants including Provitamin A and B5, Vitamin C Ester, Vitamin E, Rosehip Seed Oil, and Hibiscus Flower and Rosemary Leaf Extract. Whoa! That’s a lot of wrinkle fighting ingredients!

I am really impressed with this eye cream. Again, it is gentle for delicate and sensitive skin. I am really happy that I started searching for a more affordable option for my skin care products. Because I actually found some that really work AND I don’t have to spend a fortune on them.
All Over Skin Moisturizing
Now that I have told you about my favorite face creams, lets talk about everywhere else. Again, being wintertime, my skin gets sooo dry. So I really need an all over moisturizer that keeps the itchy feeling away. And my go to cream is not only incredible for adding moisture, and given my skin a silky feel, but it smells great too.
Let me introduce you to SOL DE JANEIRO Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. This cream is amazing.

I first tried the Bum Bum Cream a couple of years ago and was completely hooked on just the scent. I live for coconut and tropical scents in the summertime. Salted caramel, pistachio, vanilla… its so decadent you’ll want to wear it all the time, or at least wish that summer lasted forever. Its not overpoweringly sweet either, but also salty and nutty with a hint of the tropics. The other best part about Bum Bum cream is it’s ability to smooth out cellulite. I put a little of this on before wearing shorts, ands and my skin was noticeably tighter. I felt much more confident!

I think this cream is worth the cost because of how well it works. Plus it gives a nice subtle glow to your skin and the scent lasts nearly all day. I can put it on in the morning before work and could still smell it faintly after 10 hours. That lasts longer than some perfumes I have spent a lot more money on, and this cream helps my skin stay soft and moisturized. That makes this cream one of my favorites to pamper my skin with.
Don’t Forget The Shower
And while I’m sharing, I have to share L’Occitane Cleansing & Softening Almond Shower Oil. If your skin hates the winter as much as mine does, you need this shower oil. Now it says it’s an oil, but it is so much more.

This shower oil transforms, when in contact with water. It turns into a sheer, milky lotion that gently cleanses the body. Enriched with almond oil, the oil leaves a subtle and mouthwatering scent of fresh almond. And it cleanses and moisturizes, which is perfect for dry skin.
The Almond Shower Oil lasts a long time. I can buy a bottle of it in late fall, and it will last well into the summer. And if it seems a little pricey, it is.

But if you want to give it a try, right now Amazon has this adorable L’Occitane Almond Ornament 3 Piece Gift Set for $16.00. It’s a great way to try out the Almond oil to see if it works for you.
My Favorite Pampering Skin Care Products
So that’s it! A quick peek at some favorite indulgent skincare items in my beauty drawer. Some of them do change from time to time, but so far these are my absolute favorites. Who knows, maybe they will be your new favorites too!
Hi Lisa, best thing for us horsey girls is a good factor 50 on our faces most of the time, sun causes so much damage, but the rest of the time we just follow our routines. I think 2grams a day oral vitamin c is good. I love you blogs, especially horse content. Kind regards Jane
