My First Ever Boxy Charm Box
It is no secret I love a good subscription box. And I have several that I subscribe to every month, but they are horse related. And while I thoroughly enjoy getting them, you don’t seem to get a lot of bang for your buck. This is probably because horse items are expensive, or because the people who create them aren’t getting a great deal on the products packaged inside. Which is what led me to looking for a box that has items packed inside, just for me. And I found an incredible one! The subscription box I decided to try is from Boxy Charm. And I wanted to share with you my first ever Boxy Charm Box, unboxing.
What Is Boxy Charm?
Boxy Charm is a monthly subscription box that includes personal items like make up, hair care, and skin care. The subscription costs $21.00 each month, but from what I have seen from the first one I received, it is well worth that investment.

They ship the box out around the 12th of every month, and inside are high quality items. From their website, they tell you each box has 4 to 6 full sized products. This was one of the reasons I wanted to try it. Samples are great for trying, but when you are paying for a surprise box, getting full sized products is what I am looking for.
September Boxy Charm Box
Here we are in September 2017, and I just got my first every Boxy Charm box. And after I opened it up, this is a subscription box I will continue to subscribe too! Let me share with you what came inside the box for September.
Soiree Diaries Eyeshadow Palette

I don’t know about you, but I am not that great when it comes to picking out eyeshadows. I don’t know what is good, and what isn’t. Typically I only wear neutral tones, so this was very nice for me. I like the shades of brown. And maybe with a lot of practice, one day I can make my eyes look fantastic, like so many other people I see. It is doubtful, but I will definitely be trying with this eyeshadow palette!
The retail value of this set is $34.00.
EyeBrows by MAC Cosmetics

I am not an expert in makeup. But I do know MAC products are very nice, and really expensive. This eye brow pencil is self-propelling, and self-sharpening. I really like that it is self-sharpening. And the color is neutral, again very nice.
The retail value of this pencil is $18.00
Ultra Satin Lip by Colourpop

At first I thought this was a lip gloss, but when I opened it, I was happily surprised to find it is a liquid lipstick. I love adding some color to my lips, but I have not found a lipstick that will last. Well, I have found some that will last, but they dry out my lips or look really cakey. But I had to try this on and see how it would work. Again, they sent a nice neutral color and I really like it. I like how it feels on, and I really like the color too.
The retail price of this lipstick is $6.00.
Loose Blush by Studio Makeup

This is yet another product in a nice neutral tone. This is a lightweight blush that adds some color for a natural, and healthy look. I love the packaging. The container has a nifty little turning thingy that helps to keep the blush in the container. More than one time I have dropped powder, or blush only to have it end up all over my bathroom floor. Not with this one!

This color is potent. A little bit goes a very long way, something I need to remember when I put it on!
The retail price of this blush is $35.00.
Face Perfecting Brush by Bare Minerals

I have just started my journey of trying to have great makeup. This means I have a lot of different brushes, and sponges filling up a drawer in my bathroom. I am looking forward to practicing with this brush.

It has the center bristles cut short, to allow a place for you to actually put your foundation into. I haven’t used this yet, but will be soon. I just need to give myself a little extra time to figure out how to make my foundation look better. Hopefully this brush will help me.
The retail price of this brush is $28.00.
Don’t Despair Repair Deep Conditioning Mask by Briogeo

I’m not going to lie, when I saw this I thought it was a facial mask. I guess I never thought of the words ‘mask’ to be associated with my hair. But since I am attempting to grow my hair out, I am pretty excited to try this product.
When I opened it up to do the smell test, I was pleased. It smells really good! And I will put it to use tomorrow, after I color my hair.
The retail price for this mask is $20.00.
Final Thoughts on Boxy Charm

I was so excited when this came in the mail. And even though the box is small, especially when I am used to getting the larger horse subscription boxes, this subscription really delivers. The cost for me was $21.00, and the retail value of all the items is over $140.00! That is a huge savings! And I got some really nice, high quality beauty items.
Overall I am very impressed with the Boxy Charm subscription box. I will continue to subscribe, and share the products with you here. I know this isn’t ‘horse’ related, but we have to take care of ourselves too, right? If you have thought about trying out one of the beauty subscription boxes, I would highly recommend Boxy Charm. You get a lot for your dollars, and you get some great products too!
If you would like to try it out, just go to their website, Boxy Charm, and sign up to try their subscription service. You can cancel at any time, and they have a lot of other perks as well. And if you sign up for more than just one month at a time, you can save even more money. I am not that committed yet, so I plan on sticking with the monthly plan.
And I just wanted to let you all know, I bought this myself. I didn’t receive anything from Boxy Charm for writing this. I just wanted to share with you a really fun product that I thought you might enjoy too.
