Budget Equestrian Weekly Video Recap
Another week has passed, which means I have some new videos to share with you for the weekly video recap. As it seems to be a trend for me, I only was able to get 3 videos uploaded. I filmed enough for 5 videos, but I couldn’t seem to find the time to get them all edited. Probably because I have too many other projects that I am working on, but that’s ok!
Eventually I will get them all out in the same week from when they were filmed, hopefully. So how about we go over the videos that I was able to get done for the week shall we?
October Heart To Horse Unboxing
I don’t know about you, but I love to watch unboxing videos. I don’t know who started these, but that doesn’t really matter. What matters is watching the unboxings! And although this video was really late for the month, it was because the box was late getting to me. It seems the Heart To Horse box has been coming later and later during the month.
Better late than never right? I have been doing the Heart To Horse Unboxings for almost 2 years now, and even though I keep saying I am going to stop getting the subscription box, I just can’t bring myself to hitting the cancel button on my subscription. I think it’s because I’m afraid I will miss out on something. Whatever the reason, I keep getting the box, so I have to share with you what comes inside every month.
And there were a lot of nice items in this box, my favorite being the Noble Outfitters stretchy pink belt. I can wear it while I am out cleaning stalls or grooming my horses. It has some really nice size pockets to hold my phone, and other stuff too.
Let’s Hang Up Our Horse Show Ribbons
I have been wanting to get my ribbons up for quite some time now. I hate seeing them just lying in a pile. I worked hard for these awards, and I want to hang them up. And I had some left over Breyer models I had used for an earlier project, so I thought I would put them to good use.
The best part about this DIY project was it didn’t cost me anything. I was able to make a ribbon hanger for no money. I really like free, so this was a fun, free project that I made in a couple of hours. And now I have a fun backdrop to film some of my videos!
Cleaning Out My Barns For Winter
This was a bittersweet video to make. Winter is my least favorite time of the year. I do love the holidays, but to me that is about the only good thing about winter. I try to stay positive, and look for the good in everything, but there really isn’t too many positives about winter, in my opinion.
But I did clean out my barn and tack room, and found that I have a lot of horse related equipment that I don’t use, or need. So the positive is I will be putting this stuff up for sale on eBay, so hopefully I will make a little money for Christmas shopping, and my barns will be more minimal. I won’t have as much stuff filling up my tack and feed room. I think I am going to try to be more of a minimalist with my horses. I want to have more time to ride, and work with my horses. And I have found that so much stuff clutters everything, including my horse time. So I am going to be working toward being more of a minimalist with my horses.
Will it work? I don’t know, but I am definitely hoping it will!
What’s Coming Up
Over the next 6 weeks, once a week I will be having a video related to building a massive set of horse jumps with the goal of trading that set of jumps for my dream horse trailer. I will also break down building that set of jumps over each week on my blog. So if you are wanting to duplicate the set, or even just getting started with building your own set of jumps, this set of videos might be just the thing you need to show you how easy it is.
And the holiday season is literally upon us. I want to have a lot of different DIY projects that you can make to give as gifts, or make for yourself. So look for a lot of Christmas and holiday related DIY videos coming up over the next two months.
And if you are looking for lots and lots of horse related DIY type videos, check out my channel and subscribe. This way you will be able to find me, and all of my videos in one place.
