Budget Equestrian Weekly Video Recap
Well, every week since I have been posting my weekly video recap posts, I have been trying so hard to get all of the videos out that I have planned. But yet, something inevitably happens and I don’t get them all posted. But, at least I was able to stay to my promised 3 videos in one week. I keep thinking that I am going to get some down time so I can upload a lot more, but that hasn’t happened, yet. But my YouTube channel is still growing, I have 281 videos now!
And I have decided that even though some of the videos I put out may not be trendy, or super popular, I’m ok with that. I want to offer information that might help someone like you. That is why I make the videos that I do. Usually my video thought process starts out something like this…
“I wonder how you could make….(insert DIY here….)” And then the video idea has been created. All that’s left is for me to practice the project a little bit, and then get to work filming it. And the good thing about that is I am always thinking about new projects. This means I will never run out of ideas for new videos!
So how about we get into the video recap for the week now?
How To Check Vital Signs For Horses
Like I said earlier, I don’t make videos necessarily just to be trendy, or get lots of views. I want to give information that might help someone. And that is what this video is all about. I am not a vet, and I am not an expert in horse health. But I have learned how to check my horses temperatures, heart rates and respirations.
Going through what I did with Frisby last week was scary. And By knowing how to check his vital signs, I had more information to give to my vet. If you have never listened to your horse’s heart beat, let me tell you, it is really cool.
October Saddle Box Unboxing
This month The Saddle Box was great. I think it was my favorite box so far actually. There were a lot of great items in the October Saddle Box. And something really exciting happened in regard to Saddle box for me. I will save that for later next week. But it is super, super exciting! And I cannot wait to share it with you all! I promise, I will reveal everything early next week.
If you don’t know what Saddle Box is, it is a monthly subscription box that you can purchase directly from Saddle Box. It is an affordable surprise box that is shipped out on the 15th of each month and you get a lot of full size horse products, along with some neat surprises for you too. If you have thought about trying it, you should! You don’t have to commit to any amount of time and you can cancel your subscription whenever you want. The Saddle Box subscription costs $34.95 per month. And if you do decide to try them out, tell them I sent you. I don’t get anything from that, I just want them to know I am sending horse people their way.
A Different Way To Display Your Horse Show Ribbons
If you have read my earlier posts, you probably saw this. I walked you through step by step of how I decided to display some of the photos I entered in online horse shows this past summer. I didn’t want to just have my ribbons (rosettes) lying in a pile. I wanted to display them. I am proud of what I have done, even though it was only online. I’m still proud of my work, and I wanted to be able to “see” it.
So in this video I show you what I described in my earlier blog post. And this is just the start! I have a really great way I am going to display the rest of my ribbons. HOPEFULLY I will be able to get that video up next week!
This would be a really great gift for your favorite equestrian too. And as you know, the holidays are nearly upon us. You would have plenty of time to create a memorable gift for your favorite equestrian. I know if anyone in my family did something like this for me, I would love it!
What’s Coming Up
I don’t want to get over excited, and over promise. I would rather over deliver, so I am going to stick with my promised 3 videos for next week. I keep hoping to do more, but only time will tell if it actually happens.
But for next week, this is what I am planning:
- Keeping Your Horse Hydrated When It’s Cold
- Heart To Horse Box Unboxing
- A Unique Horse Show Ribbon Display
The good news is, I already have the footage for all of these videos, so all I have to do is edit them, and get them out into the world. I really like to try and get at least 4 or 5 videos done each weekend. This way I have some buffer time in case something comes up, and I’m not able to film. And since the time is getting ready to change where I live, daylight savings time, I will have more time inside, which means more time for projects. Less time for riding which is sad, but it does give me time to build some horse jumps, and educate myself so that when I do have time to ride, hopefully I will get better.
Well that is it for my weekly video recap. So that means there is only one thing left for me to tell you…until next time, stay passionate and enjoy your ride!
