Budget Equestrian Weekly Video Recap
This week did not work out quite as I expected. I had planned on having 4 videos, but that didn’t happen. I did end up spending a lot of my time with my horses all week long, which was good. But that cut into my time of producing new videos that I had planned on making. Sometimes I wish I could spend all of my time working on videos and creating new content for my website. But, the bills have to be paid, so I have to go to work. Don’t get me wrong, I love the work I do, but it would be amazing if YouTube and my website were my full time job!
So even though my plans went off track, I was able to get 3 videos completed for the week, and here is my weekly video recap for the week ending October 20, 2017.
October 2017 Boxy Charm Unboxing
Even though my Boxy Charm videos aren’t my most popular, I still like making them! I really like Boxy Charm. It is a monthly subscription surprise box that you can sign up for at boxycharm.com. You get 4 to 5 full size beauty products in each box. And it is very reasonable. $21.00 a month. And the value of the box for this month was around $138.00. It’s fun to look pretty, don’t you think? I do!
Jeffers Equine Unboxing
This was an unexpected video, but I am really glad I did it. I had ordered a saddle pad from Jeffers equine, and it came last week. And I can’t let a video opportunity go to waste, so I made a video of what I got from Jeffers. I also did a little comparison of the previous pad I had that the new one is replacing.
I really like Jeffers equine. They have a huge selection of horse related items at very affordable prices. We are so lucky that we have so many options when it comes to buying horse equipment today. And not everyone has a tack store around the corner. But thanks to the internet, if you can be a little patient until your item arrives you can find some really great tack by doing your homework.
My Horse Could Have Died
Again, another unexpected video, but this was such a huge thing that happened this week, I had to make a video about it. And this happened on Tuesday night, and bright and early Wednesday morning, I also wrote an article about it.
I considered not making a video, but to me, I felt it was too important to share with you that I did it. This was a very scary situation, but if my experience can help even just one person, making this video was worth it.
Thankfully, Frisby is doing well during his recovery. He is still getting 4 smaller meals a day. And I am still very nervous. But he is doing ok. He is acting like himself, and I think he likes all of the added attention he had been getting lately. Maybe it makes up for him not getting huge meals! But I did learn not to take his health for granted. And colic doesn’t care, it can effect even the healthiest of horses. The only thing we can come up with of why it happened was due to the huge temperature fluctuation that happened about 10 days ago and he wasn’t drinking enough water.
What’s Coming Up
Even though I didn’t get to finish the videos I had planned on making for the week, I was still able to get the video footage for the videos. So I am hopeful, baring any setbacks, that I will be able to get them published for this upcoming week. And I have been busy coming up with new ideas for potential new videos. So hopefully I will be able to get 3 (or 4) videos published this week. This is my plan:
- Saddle Box Unboxing
- Creating A Photo Display with Your Hard Work
- Heart To Horse Unboxing
- Displaying Your Ribbons
- How To check For Gut Sounds
I know, that is a pretty ambitious list. But I already have the photo display, and displaying your ribbons footage. I just have to edit the videos. And we also got a new camera this past week that I have to play with. I think it will really help to make the video process a lot easier, once I figure out how to use it!
So hopefully next week I will have a weekly video recap that will be huge in comparison to this weeks videos! Time will tell, and I am praying for an uneventful week that is only filled with making videos!
