Budget Equestrian Weekly Video Recap
Well it’s that time of the week again! Time to do a weekly video recap! I had intended to get 4 videos out this week, but it didn’t happen. I am pretty excited about the videos I was able to put out. Two of the videos were over 10 minutes long, which means a lot of editing had to be done. And because I have been so busy the last couple of weeks, this means I didn’t have a lot of time left over to do these videos in advance. So three nights after work this week, I was staying up late to get the videos done.
And our internet is being challenging to say the least, so uploading 14 minute videos took around 6 hours. The sad thing is, we pay for fast internet! 6 hours to upload a video is not fast in my opinion. I would hate to see what ‘average’ speed is, so I should be careful what I say!
I do like that I made a project list and put it in my blog post last week. That gave me the motivation to get these videos done, and I already knew what I was going to work on, because I had listed the videos here. I think I will do that again. So if you subscribe to my YouTube channel, and my blog, then you will have a pretty good idea of what videos will be coming out for the upcoming week.
But if you like to see all of the videos I uploaded for the week, you have come to the right post. Without any further rambling, here are the videos of the week!
How I have Grown My YouTube Channel To 5000 Subscribers
I started out the week with a thank you. Thanking those of you who have subscribed to my YouTube channel, and continued to watch my videos. It seems like it has taken forever to reach 5000 subscribers. But in reality, hitting 5000 subscribers in 16 months isn’t too bad. It makes me anxious to see where my channel will be 16 months from now!
How To Make A First Aid Kit At The Dollar Store
I have been meaning to make this video for a while now. Someone had asked me to do a first aid kit haul from the dollar store, and I finally decided to accept the challenge. I was able to come up with a pretty good chunk of supplies for a decent first aid kit from items solely purchased at the dollar store. If you are looking for ideas, or things to add to your first aid kit you should watch this video.
Using Olive Oil To Condition Horse Tack
Again, this is another video I have been wanting to make for some time now. A couple of months ago, I bought some new horse tack. And the bridles I got were very inexpensive. Do you know what that means? Yep. The leather is super stiff. I had heard of people using olive oil to soften and condition leather, but I had never tried it. Well, I took the time to try it and it worked pretty well, especially on the cheap horse tack. I also used it on a really old, neglected leather halter, and the results were great.
If you have ever thought about using olive oil to condition your tack, watch this video and see how it turned out. I let my tack be the guinea pig for the experiment, so you can watch and see if this is something you would want to try!
What To Expect Next Week
I am happy to say that my business will be slowing down over the next few weeks, which means I get to get back on track on how I like to create videos. Again, I have a huge list of ideas, and thanks to my subscribers, they keep giving me more ideas of videos they would like to see. So this is my goal for the upcoming week.
- Displaying Your Hard Work of Winning Rosettes (Ribbons)
- Boxy Charm Unboxing
- DIY Pony Pop Tarts
- DIY Horse Show Ribbon Display
I know, it’s an ambitious list of videos, but one that is realistic to achieve. My boxy charm box is scheduled to come on October 16, 2017, so I am confident I will be able to get all of these videos completed this week.
Time will tell, but hopefully next Saturday I will be listing the weekly video recap with 4 videos for you to watch!
So until next time, stay passionate and enjoy your ride!
