Weekly Video Wrap Up
With the holiday season in full swing, and planning for a work trip to Orlando, my video production has been lacking this past week. But because of everything else I have going on, I have come to realize it isn’t really necessary for me to upload 3 videos a week.
True, I do feel accomplished when I look and see that I have been able to get 3, or even 4 videos up for the week, but, with having just about 300 videos, I think there is enough content for most people. Honestly watching one video a week from my favorite YouTubers can be a challenge. So I have decided to limit my videos to one a week for the time being.
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE to make videos. But, by having a commitment of 3 a week, I don’t feel I am doing my video’s justice. I know I can do better. And I think by limiting myself to just one a week, I will be able to make better quality videos for my subscribers. After all, it isn’t quantity at this point in my YouTube journey. I want to focus on quality.

So for this week’s video recap, there is only one video. Short and sweet right? Yep. That’s it for this week. But in the coming weeeks, I already have a plan of what I want to do. So here is your video of the week!
Making Homemade Horse Treats For Christmas Gifts
This was a super fun video to make. I had been wanting to do something nice for the horse people in my life for the holidays, but I don’t have a lot of money to spend. And let’s face it, equestrian related gifts can be EXPENSIVE! And I know my horses really like treats, so I am sure others do too!
And having a container to put the treats in was easy. A coffee container repurposed into a treat container was simple, and affordable to make with things I already had at home.

The treats were easy to make, thanks to Saddle Box for sharing their great recipes. And I had most of the ingredients already in my kitchen. So it was a win, win, win!
If you are looking for something simple, easy and fast to make as a gift for your equestrian friends, this might give you an idea of a fun gift.

And yes, all of the ingredients in these horse treats are safe for your horses to eat. I had someone leave a comment that “the ingredients aren’t safe for horses!” But I have done my research, and yes, the ingredients in both recipes are safe for horses. Just like everything when it comes to feeding horses, you only give a treat now and then, they aren’t going to be eating buckets of them at a sitting. Thanks captain obvious.
Closing Out 2017
As Christmas draws ever closer, and the end of the year is upon us, I am just about done with videos for 2017. I have accomplished a lot on my channel for the year. Over 100 videos uploaded, almost 6000 subscribers, and so close to 300 videos. Yes, 2017 has been a great year for the Budget Equestrian, and I am super excited to see what 2018 holds.
So if you are missing out on my 3 times a week video upload, why not check out some of my older videos? They are all still relevant, and might give you something to watch while you are waiting for the next video!
