Well here we are at day number 21 in my 30-day blogging challenge! This is 21 days down, 9 more to go!   I wanted to offer a little more to you about myself, and thanks to the incredible blog She Moved To Texas, I found her 30-day blogging challenge and decided to emulate what she had done. And today is a new day, so a new topic. I feel bad that I missed posting yesterday, but with trying to get our house in shape to list it for sale, (more on that later) getting 3 videos a week uploaded to YouTube, working full time, along with getting ready for the winter guard season with our girls, I have been extremely busy. So I am sorry for not posting yesterday, but I am back today! And today I wanted to share with you our other furry family members.

30 Day Blogging Challenge Day 21-My Non-Horse Pets

We have 3 dogs and a cat who live in our home with us and they have basically become our furry children, besides my horses. It’s funny, because our children our basically grown. Our youngest will graduate from high school this May. But I come home from work, and there are toys all over our house. If you just walked into our house, or our backyard you would think we had toddlers. But no, we have dogs, with toys.

Harley

What can I say about Harley? This dog is so amazing! We were lucky enough to get him when a friend of our family was moving, had too many dogs and couldn’t keep him. He was also bullied by the dogs they already had, so they needed to find a good home for him. When I brought him home, my husband literally lit up. It was love at first site for the two of them.

Harley is a HUGE dog. I know he is part lab, but I’m not sure what the other part is, maybe dinosaur because this is a big dog. But even though he is big, he loves people. This dog is so smart, and I swear he understands what we are saying.

He thinks he’s a lap dog, because when you sit on the couch, he feels the need to come sit on you, while you are on the couch.

Bruiser

my non-horse pets

Bruiser was born on Christmas night in 2000. That makes him 16 years old now. He is a blue heeler, even though he looks like a little Shepard. He isn’t a very social dog, and prefers to be alone. Maybe it’s because he’s older, or maybe it’s because he is like his mother. But whatever the case, Bruiser prefers to not be around our other dogs. But he is my buddy, and he is always with me when I am building my diy projects.

He is deaf now, and can’t see that well, but he is healthy for his age, and always seems to be happy, so as long as he is happy and healthy we will continue to love him and spoil him.

Mufasa

my non-horse pets

Mufasa is a Pomeranian, we think. Or at least part Pomeranian. Our son found him, and had wanted to keep him but he is not allowed to have dogs at his house, so he asked if we wanted him. When I saw him I was like YES!!!!

I love this little dog.

He was intended to be my dog, but my husband works from home and spends a lot of time with Mufasa, so he has become my husband’s dog. But he does still cuddle with me when I get home and its TV time. He loves to play and has so much energy! He also has a little bit of anxiety, but we are working through this.

Mufasa has turned us into a family that dresses our dog. Yes, he wears clothes, but only because he seems to like it. He has a drawer with his own accessories that he sports from time to time.

Mow-Mow

my non-horse ptes

And finally, we have Mow-Mow. And yes, I know, she is fat. This cat is more like a dog than a cat. And she has been a part of our family for the past 10 years. I can’t believe we have had her that long.

We got Mow-Mow when her human mom had to sell her house, and wasn’t able to take her along. I know it broke her heart. She had this cat for so long, I think she was around 10 or 12 when we got her, so that would mean she is at least 20 years old now.

But she is a part of our family, and another one of our pets who is completely in love with my husband. All our pets love him almost as much as I do, I think.

Our Furry Family

Well those are the other animals that round out our family. We love out animals so much. I think our furry babies really complete our family, and I am so grateful they chose us. How about you? Do you have pets other than horses? Share your fur-babies with me in the comment section below!
