Budget Equestrian Weekly Video Recap
Well I was able to get 3 videos up this week, still not 4, but 3 will do. This puts my video count at 287 videos so far on my channel. So close to 300! I think I need to push myself to hit that next milestone. Maybe I will be able to crank out 14 videos this weekend and push me over 300. A lofty goal, yes, but I want to get there now!
But while I am thinking about the next 14 videos I need to make, how about we cover the 3 I uploaded for the week in my weekly video recap!
DIY Pony Pop Tarts
This was a super fun video to make. Not only to I come up with a new treat recipe for my horses, but I got to make a video of it too! There is just something special about making your own horse treats. I did write an article about it too, showing you step by step how you too can make your own horse treats.
And these treats were easy to make. I was trying to make them like Snaks 5th Avenchew’s Pony Pop Tarts, but they didn’t turn out like that. But that’s ok, my horses loved them. And they were very easy to make with ingredients I already had in my kitchen. So the treats were free! Sort of, since I already had everything to make them.
But this got me thinking about making holiday type horse treats, so keep an eye out for those recipes and videos coming soon. You can never have too many horse treat recipes in my opinion. Making treats for my horses means I am not baking as many treats for myself. And even though my husband may not be too happy about that, my waistline is.
My Winter Time Grooming Kit
I decided to make a video of everything I use during the winter time for my horse grooming. I don’t spend near as much time grooming my horses when it’s dark and cold outside, so my grooming kit goes into minimal mode during the winter. I have also written an article about each item I use, and it will be over on The Saddle Box’s website next week. Yes, I am writing blog post’s for Saddle Box now! So if you haven’t checked them out, you should!
And the benefit of me writing a post a week for them is that they are giving me an extra saddle box every month. And guess what I am going to do with it??? Go on, guess! Getting Your Horse To Drink Water When its Cold
I decided to make this video to show people different things you can do to get your horse to drink more water. I have been on a bit of a horse care kick lately, ever since Frisby coliced. And one thing I struggle with when it’s cold is how to ensure my horses are getting enough to drink. I did write an article about this, but some people learn better visually, so I made a video to go along with the article.
Everything I talk about in this video are steps I am taking now to make sure my horses stay hydrated. And I thought these tips might be helpful for others too.
Another Week, Another 3 Videos
Well, that is all for the videos this week. I still have hundreds of ideas churning around in my head for new videos. So don’t worry, I will continue to have more videos each and every week for you, if you like videos that is.
Thankfully, I have Monday and Tuesday off next week, so I am hoping to be able to get a lot more videos done. Will I hit 14 videos? I sure hope so! I would love to be able to put them out all at one time, to hit 301 videos, but then I would have to come up with even more ideas and videos for my 3 a week. So even though I probably won’t release all the videos at one time, I will be working on getting them uploaded for the future. This will give me a little breathing room, and as my husband says, buffer time to be ahead of the game for my video production schedule.
And I think I will still try and get to revealing 4 videos a week. Time will tell, but hopefully I can commit to that really soon!
