Budget Equestrian Weekly Video Recap
Another week has flown by. It seems as summer comes to an end, the days seem to move faster. Maybe it’s because I have so much going on, or maybe it’s because I am busting my butt to try and get ready for the upcoming change of seasons. But even though the days move faster, I was still able to get 4 new videos up on my YouTube channel, The Budget Equestrian. And as promised, here is a weekly video recap for you. Maybe there is at least one video you might find interesting, and hopefully, more!
For the week ending September 22, 2017 I uploaded 4 videos for you to watch. Sometimes it seems I have a theme in my head, and the videos are all related. And in a way, there was kind of a theme, well two of them. 2 videos were unboxing videos, and 2 were related to horse brushes.
My First Ever BoxyCharm Unboxing
I am no stranger to subscription boxes. I already subscribe to boxes that are horse related. (More on that later) And I wanted to find a box that has a lot of value for my dollars. I was really happy with the BoxyCharm September box. BoxyCharm is a monthly subscription box that focuses on makeup. You get full sized products and the box is only $21.00 a month.
How To Clean Your Horse Brushes
Have you ever cleaned your horse brushes? Or do you just go buy new brushes when your brushes get too dirty to use? Save yourself some money and spend a little bit of time just cleaning the brushes you already have. It is really easy and only takes a few hours, including drying time before your brushes are as good as new.
And even if you have expensive horse brushes (well, especially if your brushes are expensive) you can, and should wash them occasionally to keep them in good shape. By cleaning your brushes you will be protecting your investment. And your grooming will go faster because you aren’t just moving dirt around from your brush to your horse!
How To Paint Your Horse Grooming Brushes
And since my horse brushes were all beautiful and clean, I decided to get a little crafty with them. Have you ever wanted custom painted horse brushes? Have you seen how expensive they are? Well, you don’t need to spend a lot of money to have custom brushes! In this video I show you how you can make your own custom brushes. You can paint your horse’s name on them, or just paint a pattern on the brush. You can personalize your brushes so you, and others, will know these brushes belong to you.
In this video I walk you step by step how to paint horse brushes. It’s a fun project that you can do in an afternoon. And then you can have matchy-matchy horse brushes!
As a side note, if you are looking for a great gift idea for your favorite equestrian, this would be a fantastic project for the upcoming holiday season.
Huge Unboxing of Saddle Box AND Heart To Horse Monthly Subscription Boxes
Typically I have two different videos where I share with you horse monthly subscription boxes. But this time, I wanted to compare the two subscriptions. If you have thought about trying one of these monthly subscription boxes, in this video I share both of them with you. So you can see for yourself what each box holds. I keep saying I am going to stop my subscription to Heart To Horse box, but I still haven’t. The 2 subscription boxes I reviewed were a Saddle Box, and the Heart to Horse Box.
Each subscription costs around $35.00 per month, and I justify getting them because I share them with you. That’s a good reason to continue, don’t you think? Yeah, I am going to justify it that way.
Final Thoughts of The Weekly Videos
I thoroughly enjoy making videos and sharing them with you. And when I am able to get 4 videos a week up on YouTube, I feel accomplished. When I started my YouTube channel over 2 years ago, I never thought I would have enough ideas to create 100 videos, let alone 267. But the idea keep coming, and as they do I will continue to create new ones for you to watch.
I am quickly approaching 5000 subscribers on my channel, and hopefully within the next week I will reach 5000. I sure hope so! Yes, I love gaining new subscribers, but more importantly, I hope I am providing helpful and useful videos for people like you. I want to help you save money, as well as empower you to do some DIY projects that will help you to make the most of the time that you have with your horse. And just like I say at the end of every video, stay passionate and enjoy your ride!
