I have a certain song stuck in my head on repeat right now…Guess who’s back, back again…..

If you don’t know who that is, it’s Slim Shady. And I have the lyrics of his song going through my head right now. #guesswho’sback

Because I’ve decided to bring back my YouTube channel, The Budget Equestrian. It has been a long, long time. I can’t remember when the last time I posted dedicated horse videos was. I think it was around Christmas 2020? I don’t remember.

Bringing back the YouTube channel Budget Equestrian

But I am having so much fun with Plezant, and learning so many things! I just can’t help myself. I want to make horse videos on a dedicated horse channel. I have learned so much since I started my YouTube journey. I feel fairly confident I know how to keep the haters in check.

Bringing Back The Budget Equestrian

This is something I have been thinking about for quite a while now. And I decided that now is the time. I have so many ideas that I want to share. And while I love writing, there is just something special about making a video.

I was so excited that I even made a little channel trailer. I didn’t talk in the video. I didn’t add any little extras other than my logo. I think it’s pretty cool. It gives me goosebumps to watch it.

So if you have watched my videos in the past, they will be coming back, but with a little twist.

the budget equestrian

I’m focusing on things that will help budget-minded equestrians. I mean, that’s what I am. And I know what it means to have a horse on a budget. I also know all about the shiny objects that tempt us as riders. We hope that expensive bit, or saddle pad, or (insert expensive item here) will help us to achieve the results we are wanting with our horses. But 9 times out of 10, they don’t help at all.

And then there are those little gems that are so helpful – and affordable. This is what I want to make videos about.

horse shedding tools

Like this awesome shedding tool – I love this thing! And it’s affordable! I love finding things like this! And I just feel the need to get out there and make some new videos. Ok, a lot of videos all related to horses and having your own horse.

The Budget Equestrian YouTube Channel

I’ve been doing this for a really long time, and I have stuff to say! LOL I know, I get to say it here, but I need to make some videos. I love making videos!

5 simple habits for being a better rider

I am ironing out the kinks and filming videos as I write this blog post. And once I give those who watch my DIY videos a chance to make the move over to my new YouTube channel (DIY Diva), Then everything on my original channel will revert back to The Budget Equestrian.

The Budget Equestrian is coming back!

Welcome Back Budget Equestrian!

And the videos will be coming soon, especially with the Colorado Horse Park show season getting ready to start! I think this is going to be a very busy summer!!!

Happy Riding!

Hi Lisa, that’s the best news for me, and it will be for a lot of other people. Just a little about the negative people who feel safe being unkind and negative hiding behind a keyboard, it says more about them than your article content. You are brave, kind supportive and a wonderful person, remember that, there are more nice people than not, enough said. It sounds like you are excited and eager to get on writing again, I’m so looking forward to your vlogs. Take care. Jane xx

Thank you Jane 🙂 You’re right. There are definitely more nice and kind people in the world -and those are the people I want to know 🙂 Have a wonderful day!

YAY!!!!! Its about time, my friend! I’ve been waiting for you to come to your senses! Love you!

I am sooooooo glad you are doing Budget Equestrian again! I would like to ask a question, however: I thought you had 2 horses in the old videos; have I missed something somewhere?

      • Lisa

        Hi Kay,

No, you didn’t miss anything. I just didn’t really advertise that right before Christmas, I came to the very difficult decision that it was time to let my dear Frisby go. His Cushings was getting worse, and I didn’t want him to suffer through a long, hard, and cold winter with what he was dealing with. I have the kindest and most compassionate vet who made the entire process less painful for me. And I was happy to let my boy go while he could still stand, and wasn’t fighting infection, and was not in agonizing pain. One of the most difficult decisions I have made, but I try to look at it like I was doing my best for my sweet boy. Doesn’t mean it was an easy decision. But I feel it was the kindest thing I could do for him.

I’m sorry but just now seeing this reply. Sometimes the kindest thing to do is the hardest. You certainly did the right thing. No sense in him having to suffer when he didn’t have to.
