30 Day Blogging Challenge Day 29-My Dream Wishlist
Here we are at day number 29 in my 30-day blogging challenge! This is 28 days down, and only 1 more to go! I am so close to being done with this challenge. There is a light at the end of this tunnel! One more post (after this one) and my quest of the 30 day challenge will be complete. If you have been following this series for a while now, you will no doubt have a very good understanding of what my horses mean to me. As well as my goals, and plans. I found the idea for this series from the incredible blog She Moved To Texas, she did a 30-day blogging challenge and decided to emulate what she had done. And today is a new day, and my favorite topic, my dream wishlist. It is so much fun to dream!

My dream wishlist seems to grow every day. But the one thing I have learned is that by creating a wishlist, pretty soon the items I want to get are no longer wishes, but reality.
For example, I really want to take Ethan to a show this summer. So in order for me to feel ready to show, there are a lot of different items I need in order to be ready to go to a show. I start by just randomly writing down things that I think of that I want, and/or need to make that happen.
When I started thinking about what I would want to have to show Ethan, I wrote down the following items:
- White breeches
- Dressage bridle
- Show pad
- Stirrup leathers
- Lucky Braids horse shampoo
- Haas horse brush
- Cotton sheet
- MTG
- Show gloves
- Dressage show coat
- Ariat show shirt
- Stock tie
- 5 ½” copper mouth bit
- Boots
- C4 belt
- Samshield helmet
And then other items came into my head of things that I need around my barn and this list came out of my head:
- Lik-it treat holder
- Blanket rack
- Bucket for bathing
- Clippers
- Glitter hoof polish
- Horse treats
And after creating both lists, I simply checked off each item as I could buy them.

This is just an example of different things that I bought (or am saving to buy) right now to help me to achieve my dream of taking Ethan to a horse show. It may sound simple, and you’re right, it is simple.
This is one of the reasons I love to make lists. I don’t just do it for my horses, but for everything! I make to do lists for the weekends, and goals that I want to achieve. Some things I buy, and others I make. If I have expensive items on one of my lists I want to buy, I make another list of different things I can do to make extra money to afford the things I want to buy.
Which leads me to my super dream wish list. And yes, the things on my list are just ‘things’. But, these things will help me to achieve a goal.
My Dream Wishlist
- Brenderup horse trailer
- 10 acre horse property with a real barn and indoor arena
- An ATV
- Samshield riding helmet
- Dover premier refined dressage bridle
- Wintec Isabell dressage saddle
- MDC Ultimate Stirrup Irons
- Fiber footing in my arena
The items on this list are my ultimate dream items. Will I ever have these items? You bet I will. A few years ago, many of the items on these multiple lists I have shared with you in the beginning of this post were once on my major dream wish list. By writing down the things that I want, I am asserting my intention, and this is taking the first step in getting the things that I want.

The next step in this path of thinking is creating a list of goals or baby steps of what I will need to do to reach each of the things on my jigunda dream list. If you are wondering if this is possible, it is. Almost everything on the smaller lists I shared with you earlier I have been able to get. And by getting the smaller items, I am working my way through my list, and working toward the larger purchases.

You should try making your own list. It really does work. Depending on what you are wanting, it will not happen overnight. But by physically writing down what you want, and working through your own list, you will be able to get what you want.

What’s on your wish list? Share it with me in the comment section below.

Lisa- I just “tuned in” on the next to last day of your challenge, and now…boy do I have some catching up to do! I very much enjoyed your post- I too, am a firm believer in the power of The List! (and also a world class scatter-brain, so it goes without saying I MUST have them or run the risk of forgetting my child’s birthday! Totally happened to me…oy, Bad Mom.) Anyway- Thank you for sharing such practical and valuable advice- I look forward to catching up with the first few weeks of your challenge. As a brand new “Horse-Blogger” I am sure to learn a bunch!
Hi Sara! Thank you for stopping by 🙂 I LOVE my lists, for everything. I think they help keep our thoughts collected because we are so busy doing 15 different things at the same time. I know my lists keep me sane, and my bills paid!
