30 Day Blogging Challenge Day 26- The Importance of Horses in My Life
Here we are at day number 26 in my 30-day blogging challenge! This is 26 days down, 4 more to go! So close to the end now! If you have been following this series for a while now, you will no doubt have a very good understanding of what my horses mean to me. As well as my goals, and plans. I found the idea for this series from the incredible blog She Moved To Texas, she did a 30-day blogging challenge and decided to emulate what she had done. And today is a new day, so a new topic. Today’s I wanted to share with you the importance of horses in my life.
Riding is a very important part of my life. But my horses are an even more important part of my life. It is so relaxing to be able to go out to my barn, and just be with my horses. And I may be odd, but I am happy to clean my barn, and organize my tack room. I am just as happy being around my horses as being on them.

Grateful For What I Have
I am fortunate to have the horses that I do. I say this because I can go 3 or even 4 months without riding, and then I can climb up on Frisby and just go for a ride. I never have to worry he is going to buck me off or need a ton of work to quiet him down before I can climb on him. He is such an incredible gift.

And even though Ethan can be a challenge, he has a heart of gold. I think he is finally understanding that he will not be moving to many different homes. He seems to be settling in, and he seems to be happy.
And now that I can tell summer is indeed returning, I am so excited to spend every evening with my horses. Whether it is riding them, or cleaning the barn. Just being able to get outside and spend time with them motivates me.

Every winter (like right now) I am reminded of how important my horses are to me. I am not able to spend as much time outside because of the shorter days. I can’t dedicate as much time as I would like to because of the cold temperatures. But it makes me grateful for the time I do get, and make me excited for when the days get longer.
Having my horses and riding helps me to relax, and really appreciate what I have. Being with my horses is almost as important to me as being with my family. Because honestly, my horses are a part of my family. My horses give me goals, and make me happy beyond belief.

And we all want to be happy, right? My horses help to complete my very busy life, and give me an opportunity to slow down and really be thankful for the little things that all add up to the bigger picture of happiness.
