Weekly Video Recap
Instead of calling this a weekly video recap, I might update it to what it really is, a bi-weekly video recap, because that is when I have had the time to go over the video’s I have uploaded. And since I have been a little in the slacker department when it comes to getting a lot of videos up every week, I would rather have more information for you than just a little. I was better this week though, I managed to get 3 videos uploaded.
And I sat down last night and came up with a list of new video ideas and I am happy to report, I came up with over 100 videos I could make! Not too bad really for an hour or so of thought. But I am going to have to rethink what type of videos I am able to make, because I will be having surgery sometime coming up which means I will not be allowed to ride for awhile after the surgery.
I guess I will be making a lot of sit down, or how to videos, but while I can I am going to try and get a lot of video content ready to go, before surgery. Hopefully I will have enough footage to make at leas a few riding videos, even though I won’t be riding!
Alright, enough of the future plans! Let’s go over the videos I have made for the last 2 weeks!
Caring For My Horses
I had been wanting to make this video for awhile now. Because I wanted to share with you what I feed my horses, and how I take care of them on a daily basis. There is a lot involved in having horses at home, and it’s a little different than when you are at a boarding facility. So I wanted to share what it is that I do with my horses on a daily basis. And I have had really great results for my horses with the supplements I feed, so I wanted to share that with you too.
I love being able to have my horses at home, but it does create a lot of work being the manager, groom, and worker bee of my own barn. If you board your horse, and don’t have to do some of these things, I thought it would be an interesting perspective for you.
Trying Nutrigood Horse Treats
I had written a blog post about these treats I got from Riding Warehouse and I thought it would be fun to make a video of the treats as well. It’s fun to share with you different products, so you can see it up close and personal before you decide to purchase it. These treats were pretty good honestly. My horses like them, and they don’t crumble in my pocket.
If you are looking for a low sugar horse treat for your horse, you might want to give these a try!
How To Build A Slanted Gate For A Horse Jump
I love building horse jumps. I’m sure you know that if you have been coming here for any length of time. And making gates for horse jumps is a very affordable option to create fillers for your jumps affordably. And gates are very simple to make using simple tools like a drill, a saw, measuring tape and some wood.
You can keep gates simple, or get really creative with the paint jobs. And simply by changing the angle or direction of the pickets, you can have an endless supply of gates. I think this gate cost me about $15.00 total to make. And I did it in an afternoon. SO if you are wanting to make something yourself for your jumps, or you want to add a different element, maybe consider adding some gates. They are super easy to make.
Riding Lesson Tips – What I Take To My Riding Lesson
I had been thinking about this for a little while, and decided to share with you what I take to my riding lesson every week. Basically a what’s in my bag video. I wanted to share what I have in the bag I use to take to my riding lessons, because I thought someone might want to know. And my riding lesson starts promptly at 6:00 PM, so I don’t have time to go home first, and get ready for my lesson. So right before 5:00 PM I am at work, getting ready for my lesson and then I drive right over to the barn.
The barn is about 45 minutes away from my job, so I need to be efficient with how I use my time, so I can be in the arena and ready to ride as close to 6:00 PM as possible. Having a bag with everything in it helps me to save time, and when I get to my lesson barn I pretty much am ready to go. I just have to put my boots on, and get my horse, tack him up, put on my helmet, and I am ready!
April Saddle Box Unboxing
And the final video for this post is my Saddle Box unboxing video. And I am really happy with everything that came in this month’s box! I would say this has been one of my favorite boxes so far. The homemade horse treats that were in this months box were good, I mean really good. I know this because I tried them! They were yummy! If you want to see me try out the horse treats, watch at the end of the video….
And as always Saddle Box has given my the opportunity to share a box with someone else. If you would like to know how you could get your own Saddle Box for free, watch the video!
Weekly Wrap Up
Well guys, that is all I have for this chunk of videos. I am not quite sure how to title this in the future, since I will probably be doing recaps every other week. I could go to a monthly recap, and I might do that but I’m not sure, yet.
Like I said earlier, my video schedule might change a bit in the near future. I have a doctor’s appointment on Monday, and I am hoping I will get more information of when I will be having surgery, and what my recovery will be. This will help me determine how much time I have to prepare my blog, and my YouTube channel for this too. Please keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer that this will all go smoothly, and I can get back to my normal schedule. I’m not looking forward to it, but it really needs to be done.
And with that, I will stop for now, and get planning what I am going to create for you guys in the next few weeks!
